Introducing 7 17 Credit Union’s new Business Accelerator program, where you’ll find opportunities to grow by learning, sharing, and connecting with your local business community. Whether you’re a seasoned or a start-up business, we’re excited to offer an expanding series of events that feature helpful topics and the chance to showcase your business in a meaningful way. Don’t forget to bring business cards, brochures and even samples!

These events are open to the business community. A business account with 7 17 credit union is not necessary to participate.

Registration is required and closes two business days before each event.

Thinking of selling products online to produce multiple streams of income for your business, but not sure where to start? Join Christine Hughes, 7 17’s Business Development Manager (and eCommerce enthusiast), as she explains the value of eCommerce, shares the pros and cons of some of the major eCommerce platforms (Etsy, Amazon, Shopify), and discusses strategies to help get your online store up and running.

Barb Cibella from Black Cat Tax in Warren, OH will provide business accounting strategies for new and seasoned businesses, including tips for new businesses to get started in the right direction, the best accounting system for small businesses, how to manage cash flow, how to plan for future growth, and the benefits of an S Corp.

Finding & Hiring Great Employees
Bring your lunch and join Michelle Herron, 7 17’s Manager of Training and Recruitment, as she shares some of the hiring and retention strategies that helped 7 17 become a two-time North Coast 99 award winner, which celebrates Northeast Ohio workplaces for top talent. Michelle will discuss tips on hiring the right candidate for the position and how to retain employees in the long term.

Contractor’s Workshop
Are you a contractor or in the trades and looking for local jobs and state-funded work for your business? Join us for a free workshop to learn about opportunities that could lead to new jobs and business growth by assisting residents that live in Trumbull County.

Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership (TNP) has a sizeable grant and they are looking for contractors to provide home improvement and lead remediation services. Interested businesses must become certified before they can officially be added to the “pool” of contractors. During this event, we'll share information about the certification process, as well as the potential job opportunities.

Back by popular demand, this is the second time that 7 17 Credit Union is hosting this event. We're proud to partner with TNP, Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI), Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC), and the Trumbull County Land Bank to offer this helpful workshop.
