Account Insurance
7 17 Credit Union provides members peace of mind knowing their deposits are protected by insurance through the NCUA (National Credit Union Association), up to $250,000.
The NCUA is the independent government agency that administers the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Like the FDIC's Deposit Insurance Fund, the NCUSIF is a federal insurance fund backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.
As a federally insured Credit Union, the NCUSIF protects 7 17 members’ accounts. In the highly unlikely occasion of a credit union failure, the NCUSIF will cover the balance of each member’s account, dollar-for-dollar up to the insurance limit, including principal balances and dividends.
